Harmony In Ultraviolet is a personal blog and web-project, composed of several aspects of the owner’s works and hobbies- ranging from the web-archiving of undergraduate work and student-press articles, to the creative review and promotion of music and other art forms. The central concept operates upon a basic premise involving minimalist, unobtrusive design to focus the reader’s attention onto the rich content and embedded features themselves; creative writing, esoteric explorations and personal voyages into the blogosphere will all be featured in a vibrant mix.

About myself: I am a 20-year old English Literature BA (Hons) undergraduate at Royal Holloway, University of London. Reading and writing have always been two major interests – rivaled only by the voracious appetite for music – and over the past few years my writings have been published and acknowledged in several different print and Internet sources. Music, particularly the medium of electronic music, is my passion; starting in early 1990’s IDM and spanning through ambient/drone, minimal/abstract and experimental up to the modern day trends in dubstep and folktronica- almost all sub-genres of electronica will be featured here. In my spare time I enjoy tweaking around with synthesizers and software, and strumming along on my faithful guitar with a vast array of delays, reverbs and fuzz pedals. My aim and purpose in running this website is essentially to set-up somewhere to archive and host all of my writing (academic and non-academic), whilst also actively pursuing my interests in music and music journalism. When I’m not sleeping or being a generally apathetic student, I also feign occasional interests in politics, philosophy, film, technology and photography.
